Our topic of “Books” brought us to looking at the Gospel and how the congregation welcome the Gospel from the Priest. We leaned about altar servers, the thurible, and the words and actions used at the time of the Gospel. We discussed how the altar servers escort the priest who holds the bible high so that the congregation can see it. The children then broke into groups and re-enacted the preparation for the Gospel.
