Headteacher’s Welcome

A welcome message from our headteacher.

Welcome to St Mary and St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School, a school with a proud history and tradition, where the teachings of the Gospels inspire and guide us to enable our children to achieve their very best. Our Vision Statement ‘Together we strive for excellence, inspired by the joy of the Gospel’ is at the heart of everything that we do and in partnership with parents and the parish. We aim to meet the unique, individual needs of all of our children in a caring and friendly atmosphere with the example of Jesus Christ at its core.

Here at St Mary and St Thomas Aquinas we aim to provide a stimulating learning environment in which each child feels valued and can fulfil their academic potential. We have designed our provision to develop the moral, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of our children at each stage in their development.

We prepare our children to take their place in today’s, multi-cultural society, mindful of the needs of others at home and in the world around us.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, incorporating the National Curriculum, aimed at developing confident learners with enquiring minds.

We believe in a partnership between home, school and parish, and we actively encourage parental involvement.

This website aims to give you a taster of our school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and children. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

We hope you enjoy your visit.
