Year 1 Love to Read!

Year 1 have been absolutely shining when it comes to reading, and it has been a joy to celebrate their enthusiasm and commitment. We have handed out a wonderful range of reading certificates this half term, including Gold and Platinum awards, with many more children edging ever closer to their next badge. The progress across the class has been fantastic to see.
With so many reading sessions being completed, it is fair to say that the children have certainly put Miss Hall’s counting skills to the test. Every book read, every session logged, and every effort made has contributed to these brilliant achievements, and the children should be incredibly proud of themselves.
It has been especially lovely to hear the children talk so confidently and excitedly about the books they have been reading. They have shared thoughtful comments about their favourite characters, exciting moments in stories, and books they would recommend to their friends. This growing confidence and enjoyment shows just how much their love for reading is developing.
We are so proud of Year 1’s positive reading habits and their eagerness to read both in school and at home. Keep up the fantastic work, we cannot wait to see how many more certificates and badges are earned as this love for reading continues to grow.
