Taskmasters Takes Off!

A post in our latest news section.

This week, our new KS2 Taskmasters Club kicked off with its very first challenge, and what a fantastic start it was! The focus for our first task was teamwork and creativity, with the children working together to complete a fun and fast-paced activity.

After an exciting warm-up to get their competitive spirits going, each team took on the main challenge. One child, the “seer,” looked at a hidden image. Their job was to describe the picture to the “runner,” who then dashed back to their team to share the details. The rest of the team became the “artists,” carefully sketching the image from the clues they were given. To keep things extra exciting and challenging, the artist had to change every 30 seconds!

The children quickly realised that success relied on clear descriptive language, strong communication, and excellent teamwork. Every group rose to the challenge brilliantly, producing some impressive (and often hilarious!) drawings. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, supportive of one another, and full of laughter throughout.

Before heading home, the children were given their first “prize task question” to think about before next week’s session. We can’t wait to hear their creative answers when we meet again!
