Year 5 have been fully immersed and encapsulated by our English text: Holes. We have been learning about grammatical, literary features that can augment setting descriptions and draw in readers. The children have been very imaginative and ‘stepped into the characters shoes’ when expressing their feelings and impressions towards each character when analysing the text.
