This week in Year 1, we have been writing some wonderful sentences based on our current class book ‘Home’ by Carson Ellis. The children have shown great enthusiasm and creativity when thinking about their ideas and putting them into sentences.

As part of our learning, we have been building on our understanding of determiners, focusing particularly on when to use ‘a’ and ‘an’. The children worked hard to learn the rule and apply it correctly in their writing.

To finish, Year 1 put their knowledge to the test in a fun quiz, and they did an amazing job! We were so impressed with how confidently they applied what they had learned.
