Year 4s current class book is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. As they have navigated this text, they have learnt a lot about the characters and their motives, particularly Edmund’s. To end their unit, Year 4 provided statements for a debate using a range of subordinating clauses and the information they retrieved from the text to help build their arguments about why they thought that Edmund betrayed his family. Very persuasive!
