Aliens Have Stolen Year 1’s Underpants

A post in our latest news section.

Our classroom has been struck by some very cheeky visitors!

Last year, the children designed their own fantastic underpants during transition week. They were proudly displayed on our board as colourful, glittery, patterned and imaginative creations that always made us smile.

But this morning… they were gone!

The aliens had swooped in this morning, stolen the children’s underpants designs, and left behind a story explaining their invasion. It seems they just couldn’t resist such out-of-this-world fashion. Who knew underpants would be so tempting to intergalactic travellers?

The children arrived to find the evidence: an empty display board and the aliens’ tale waiting to be read. Giggles quickly filled the classroom as we pieced together the mystery. The Year 1 children used their keen maths skills to collect and count all of the underwear which had been left around the room, using their ‘1 less’ maths knowledge to figure out how many we had left to find.

It was a brilliant way to start the day full of imagination, laughter, and maths. We’ll be keeping a close eye on our classroom from now on… just in case the aliens decide to strike again!
